כי פליגי באתרא דכתבי שטרא והדר יהבי זוזי אדמון סבר איבעי ליה למימסר מודעא ורבנן סברי חברך חברא אית ליה וחברא דחברך חברא אית ליה:

They only differ where they first write the deed and then pay the money. Admon reasons that [the claimant] should have made a declaration [of his motive], while the rabbis hold [that the claimant can retort,] “Your friend has a friend, and the friend of your friend has a friend.”
